How does the EasyViz system scale?

The Server

The EasyViz System is designed to scale in the number of users accessing the system and the number of studies handled by the system.

As the number of users increases that are accessing the EasyViz System, the number of Server Nodes may need to be increased in the cluster server. Each additional User Node can service 25 to 100 registered users, or 10 to 20 simultaneous users depending on the type of usage.

EasyViz is designed to scale in the number of usersAs the number of nodes increases in an EasyViz cluster server, additional racks may be added to the cluster server to accommodate the additional nodes. Even in a multi-rack configuration, the overall cluster still operates and performs as a single system.

Network capacities and topologies may need to be adjusted accordingly as well.

The Client

The EasyViz client application is a small stand-alone program with a size of approximately 1.5 MB. The client is automatically downloaded and installed from an EasyViz Server when the user accesses a specific URL on the server. Download and installation time are under a minute, and no administrative privileges on the client PC or device are required.

The client does not rely on the settings or configuration of the OS on the client device. Thus, client-side support is extremely minimal. Once the user gets to the requisite URL, and obtains the client, there are virtually no additional client-side configuration or service steps.
