Enterprise Visualization and Workstation set-up
- The hospital's modalities produce the patient images in DICOM format. Each image is then transferred to the hospital’s PACS archive, which stores and manages the images. The PACS archive can be made up of one or more EasyViz Archives or PACS systems from multiple vendors.
- Radiologists log into their EasyViz Diagnostic Workstations and view their personal worklist. The workstation can be configured to retrieve images from one or more PACS's simultaneously and create a combined worklist. From the worklist the Radiologist selects a study to view, reads the images and performs the reporting.
- The Clinician or Referring Physician views the images from his or her PC or laptop via the EasyViz Enterprise Viewer, a thin client that is installed on a standard PC or laptop. The EasyViz Enterprise Viewer can be integrated and launched from any EMR system and can securely view diagnostic quality DICOM images from both within and outside the hospital.
- The EasyViz Enterprise Viewer initializes a session with the EasyViz Enterprise Server. The server then locates and retrieves the selected images from the hospital's PACS archive and streams the images back to the Clinicians or Referring Physician's personal computer in full DICOM and diagnostic quality. The DICOM images never leave the hospital!
